Production Stills
These production stills are meant to highlight the final render of the film. Toon Boom Harmony will be used for rough animation, clean- up animation and colour. Adobe Affects will be used for colour corrections, Blue Screen Composition for the kitchen window, masking and rotoscoping and any further tweaking of the film's footage.
Matte Painting
This is the matte painting that will be composited onto the window in Emily's kitchen. While the painting was created using adobe photoshop, The rural landscape was hugely inspired by photographs of my local fields in Buckinghamshire.
Compositing Experiment No. 2
This was my second attempt to composite the matte painting onto the window and I feel it's more effective compared to my first attempt. To achieve the final result of this experiment, I used a mix of green screen compositing, camera tracking techniques and masking tools to position the painting. Having been inspired by the work of cinematographer Janusz Kaminski, I used additional masking tools to emulate the sun rays passing through the window, while also adding dust particles to create more movement in the shot.
Compositing Experiment n0. 1
This was my first attempt at compositing the painting onto the window. I wasn't able to achieve the final result I intended due to technical difficulties. Nevertheless, I learned from the errors produced in this experiment and I was able to create a better result in the second attempt.
